I am sorry...

I would just like to apologies for my complete lack of self motivation lately. I know I was supposed to set this blog up and I am very grateful to Thomas who stepped in for me and did so.
I would also like to ask a question for us to discuss about:
Do you think that bugging our rubbish bins to see how much food we waste is a good idea or is invading our privacy?

yes fanx thomas for starting it off

to my opinion to your question...
i think it is a good idea as i feel that far to much too much rubbish is thrown away needlessly, and I’m all for anything that is a benefit to the environment. i feel the only people who need to worry about the monitoring of rubbish bins are those who waste it, and people like that deserve to be found out, and forced to act responsible to the environment.

i understand what you are saying and i suspose if you look at it like that then it helps. But the way they go behind our backs and plant bugs in our bins makes you think where else have they got bugs and what are they really being used for is it to monitor rubbish or is it for some other reason. who knows

Maybe I'm naive, but I really don't think that every act of monitoring or security is a threat from Government agencies. I get really mad with people who don't recycle and produce unneccessary waste, so if a little bug prevents this then surely that is better for the world as a whole? I agree that there is too much monitoring, but is this because of a Government agenda or because people just don't take responsibility for themselves and their actions?

i can see what you mean keeley but i don’t really feel they are completely going behind your back as there has been coverage of it in the news, and you obviously are aware of it. and i think that if these bugs on the bins help find out other things that are bad then this is a good thing.
